I'm actually pretty stoked about this project. I've made a handful of animated films over the past couple years and one of my biggest hurdles has always been sound design. It's not something that comes as naturally to me, unlike drawing cartoons, so I'm excited to play around with Adobe Audition and make something cool. I think that I'm gonna go down the voicemail route, because it seems like a fun idea.
Voicemail based- Trying to capture that tinge of anxiety and guilt that I feel whenever I get a voicemail. I get a bit anxious because if someone leaves you a voicemail it tends to be something fairly serious, coupled with the little bit of guilt of not being there when they originally called.
I've got a couple of saved voicemails from over the years, I plan to use multiple of them in the soundscape, with one of them being a more dominant voice.
Dominant voice- Drunk high school friend, talking about how drunk he is and how he'd love to chat
Supplementary voices- Sister calling for advice, other friend calling after I bailed on plans, and the guy from the bank who tells me my credit card info got stollen.
Should be kinda neat. I dunno.
